So Sony's GDC conference had just passed, and here are the major things that were talked about/ announced during it:
- Sony's ARC/Motion controller was renamed officially to Move.
- GT5 to be released this year, "Best driving sim ever made"
- Move to cost $30-$40. The starter kit to start at $100 (includes eyecam, the Move, and a game).
- Move bundle announced (Includes PS3, Move, a game and the Eyecam). Unannounced price.
- A montage of motion controlled games showed off. Socom 4, a beat em up, a gladiator (Elder Scrolls anyone?), some casual titles, and an on-rails shooter.
- The 1:1 is clearly shown.
- LittleBigPlanet with Move capablities revealed.
- Motion fighter shown, next-gen graphics along with suberb 1:1 combat.
- Socom 4 revealed with Move capablities. Can duck, shoot, aim, basically everything a controller can do.
- Many Dev's and Publishers are behind this idea, some big ones are Sony's internal studios and Activison. Also EA.
- Sony sub-controller announced. Used for Socom 4.
- 3D coming Summer and Move coming in Fall.
So that's it folks. It was a pretty good conference IMO and I can't wait to see more details on the Sony Move.
