MATURE SEGA GAMES ON THE WII TO STOP.

![]() Yes it appears Sega has finally admitted defeat and won’t be releasing any more Mature games for the wii. The company behind Wii titles; Madworld, House of the Dead Overkill and The Conduit have been a bloody, shining beacon for Wii owners wanting a little bit of carnage aside their fitness workouts. However none of these games sold well despite getting generally positive reviews.
EA’s Dead Space Extraction, a prequel to the popular PS3 and Xbox 360 game Dead Space, seems to be final straw having sold only 9000 units in the first month of release;
"Look at Dead Space. We were stunned. That was my litmus test. Basically, it's like, okay, you got EA, who can put all the marketing muscle behind this, an established franchise that scored quite well on 360 and PS3. They should be able to actually hit this out of the park, right? We get numbers, real numbers aside from NPD, and I'm like, 'Woah'." Said Sega West boss, Mike Hayes in an interview with Kotaku, yet this isn’t the end for “hardcore” games. "You will see more — I wouldn't say Mature as in M — but you will see more definitely more hardcore games from us on the Wii platform."
So there is some hope for those than want a bit more challenge and loathe mini-game compilations.
